The world's largest Singapore Math enrichment programme — bringing the methodology that consistently ranks Singapore #1 in global maths assessments to your child's after-school day.

Why Singapore Math works

Most maths programmes teach children how to compute. S.A.M teaches them why the maths works — building deep understanding through concrete, pictorial and abstract stages. The result: children don't just solve problems — they see them clearly.

1

Strong foundation

Children understand and can explain the concepts behind the procedures, not just memorise steps.

2

Problem-solving skills

Analyse, select the most appropriate heuristics, and solve challenging problems efficiently.

3

Confident & motivated

The coaching approach with hands-on activities makes maths something kids enjoy discovering.

4

Independent & self-disciplined

Good study habits develop naturally — habits that carry over to schoolwork and home learning.

How a S.A.M session looks

Children work through level-appropriate worksheets at their own pace. A trained coach observes, prompts with questions rather than answers, and steps in only when needed. Concrete tools (blocks, beans, bar models) come out for new concepts; abstract symbols follow once the idea is understood. Sessions feel less like a tuition class and more like a quiet, focused puzzle hour.

S.A.E — Seriously Addictive English

Seriously Addictive English

Built on the UK's leading after-school English programme. Structured phonics, spiral literacy, and an individual learning plan for every child.

Reading, writing & confidence — by design

English isn't simple. S.A.E breaks it into 44 sounds, teaches them in a deliberate order, and revisits every key skill across the curriculum so nothing is left behind. Children don't just learn words — they learn how the language works.

A

Structured phonics

Simplifies English into 44 distinct sounds — children learn to decode, read, and spell with confidence.

B

Integrated literacy

A spiral curriculum teaches, consolidates, revisits and strengthens every literacy skill.

C

Individual learning plan

Each child is guided through a plan tuned to their pace, gaps and strengths — never one-size-fits-all.

D

Confidence & success

Key areas are learned in gradual, achievable steps and revised regularly to ensure deep understanding.

How an S.A.E session looks

Each child gets a folder with their own learning plan. Sessions blend short phonics drills, guided reading, vocabulary play and writing tasks pitched right at the child's current level. Coaches don't lecture — they listen, correct gently, and celebrate progress. Over time, the worksheets get noticeably harder; the child barely notices.

How it fits into the after-school day

No extra trips, no extra logistics. S.A.M and S.A.E are woven into the same after-school programme you already know.

1

School pick-up

We collect your child from their school and bring them safely to Novus.

2

Settle & homework

Quiet time, homework hub with trained teachers, and a refresh before the focus session.

3

S.A.M or S.A.E

Children work on their individual learning plan with a coach — typically 30–45 minutes, scheduled days per week.

4

Play & pickup

Outdoor play, art, free time — and home by 6pm with parents who arrive happy.

Common questions

A quick word on cost, scheduling, and what to expect when you start.

Is S.A.M / S.A.E available to every child at Novus?
Both programmes are available within our After-School plan. Your child's coach will recommend the right starting level based on a quick placement assessment in the first week.
How often do sessions happen?
Most children attend S.A.M and/or S.A.E two to three times a week, scheduled within their normal after-school hours so there's no disruption to family routines.
Will it clash with school homework?
No — the after-school day is structured so homework is finished before enrichment begins. Children leave Novus with school work done and their S.A.M / S.A.E session complete.
What if my child is behind, or ahead, in maths or English?
That's exactly the point. Both programmes are individually paced — the worksheets your child works through are matched to their level, not their age. Coaches advance children only when they're truly ready.
Are there separate fees for S.A.M and S.A.E?
Please get in touch — we'll walk you through the current plans, what's included, and any add-ons. We keep it simple and transparent.
Can my child join only for the curriculum, without after-school?
Get in touch — we sometimes accommodate children for the enrichment block alone, depending on availability and the child's age.
